Why I am disappointed in the Dell Streak / Mini 5

There are many reason why I do not like the Dell Streak / Mini 5 and I will explain them here.

  1. Too many sizes?
      • Why is Dell releasing a 5 inch, 7 inch and 10 inch tablet?  Wouldn't a 5 inch be sufficient for people who wanted a small MID to fit in their pocket and a 10 inch for people who wanted to read on the tablet?  I do not understand the point of the middle sized 7-inch tablet.  It is just to small to read on but too big to fit in your pocket.
  2. Staggered Release Dates
      • The Mini 5 is coming out soon this spring but the 7 inch is not due until November and the 10 inch is not due until 2011. Am I supposed to buy the Mini 5 to hold me over until the larger 7 inch comes out and then buy the 10 inch too when it is release?
  3. 3G Costs
      • You are going to have to pay for 3G for both your cell phone have the Streak but what is the point? They both run Android.
  4. It runs Android
      • If you have an Android phone then every app you could put on the Streak could also be on your cell phone. What is the purpose of having both devices.  Do I really need two Android devices?
  5. Dell is bring out Android phones.
      • Dell has Android phones coming out. Do they expect for people to buy a cell phone with Android and a MID with Android and pay twice for data plans? Phones on Engadget
